The spaceSituated on a calm street in the central old part of Aÿ-Champagne, this place is very quiet, yet at a 5 minutes walk from several well known Champagne makers (none mentioned, none forgotten), shops and restaurants. On the picturesque town square of Aÿ you will be able to have lunch, coffee or a nice coupe de Champagne.

Guest accessYou have private access to the whole three-stories house and the courtyard - no areas are shared and there is close to no vis-à-vis to the neighbours.
Guest interactionYour check-in is independent, so you will have the house and inner courtyard to yourself during your whole stay.
However, should you need anything at all, we are available to answer your questions via email or phone. Should you need someone to physically come to fix something, for example, we will arrange that too.
My phone number and email/website are communicated in the info message that I will send to you before your arrival.
Neighborhood overviewEnjoy the authenticity of a serene Champagne village while discovering the region's many acclaimed sites. Aÿ is the largest of the villages of Champagne and here we find the widest collection of well-known Champagne houses outside the cities of Reims and Épernay. On the now-defunct Echelle des crus, Aÿ was rated 100%, which made it one of few Grand Cru Villages.
The house is situated in the heart of the village of Aÿ and therefore at walking distance from the vineyards and the Champagne houses.
Getting aroundIf you want to go to explore Epernay and its famous Avenue de Champagne, you are only a 15 mins bike ride away or 5 mins by car. From the train station of Aÿ (which is less than a 10 mins walk through town) you can easily access both Epernay (4 mins train ride) and Reims (23 mins train ride).
You can reach Aÿ from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport via train (TGV to Champagne-Ardennes in 29 mins and then train via Reims to Aÿ - total travel time is just under 1½ hours).
PARKING
Parking is free in the whole village and it is generally a very safe town - just like everywhere else though, it is wise not to leave anything visible in the car. There is a small parking across the street with 8 parking spots. In the rare case of it being full, do a short drive around town to find another spot and you will still be at close walking distance.
For on and off loading you can do a quick stop in the laneway right outside the house and then park the car more appropriately.
